Jean-François Paillard (12 April 1928 – 15 April 2013) was a French conductor. He also earned a degree in mathematics at the Sorbonne. In 1953, he founded the Jean-Marie Leclair Instrumental Ensemble, which later became the Jean-François Paillard Chamber Orchestra in 1959.

dition du 75ème Anniversaire.

Recorded in the early 1960s, the l Organ Concerti collaboration was and is one of the triumphs of the analog era and should go to the head of the class for warm and sensitive playing in an equally warm acoustic setting I can only describe as ideal for this music. The Handel Organ Concertos played by Marie-Claire Alain have been my favourite vinyl for many years. I have played them so much that they were totally scratched and couldn't be played any more. It was a wonderful discovery to find these wonderful concertos on cd. Marie-Claire Alains interpretation is the best of all. She plays with a wonderful freshness and lightness which fits perfect to these baroque masterpieces.

Marie-Claire Alain's reputation as a performer and recording artist would be hard to overstate. Her recordings number in the hundreds, and she recorded the complete works of . Bach three separate times, a singular achievement (the Swiss organist Lionel Rogg is the only other artist to record this complete oeuvre three times). Chorale from BWV 147. Jean-François Paillard.
