Ptôse possess an early ental sound with lots of primitive electronics, drum machines, and funny voices. It is all obviously influenced by The Residents as well as groups like Tuxedomoon, Der Plan, Pyrolater, etc, yet remains unmistakably French. This album probably resonates even stronger today in these post-post times than it did upon its original release in 1984. Reissued on 180 gram vinyl.
