Sly And The Family Stone - The Woodstock Experience album mp3
The Woodstock Experience is a box consisting of a set of studio albums and live performances from the 1969 Woodstock Festival by the artists Santana, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, Jefferson Airplane, and Johnny Winter. Each set consists of the 1969 studio album by the artist as well as each artist's entire Woodstock performance.
Each slipcase contains the featured artist's entire performance at Woodstock and, as a bonus, an LP sleeve reproduction of a classic album issued near the time the festival occurred, as well as fine, individually designed 16" X 24" double-sided posters. Sly & the Family Stone were riding the chart success of Stand!, their fifth album in three years(!), that had been released the previous May for Epic when they played the Woodstock Festival.
TITLE added to MP3 cart. Sly & The Family Stone: The Woodstock Experience. Sly And The Family Stone. I think it had "Everyday People" and "Dance to the Music" as the only 2 Sly and The Family Stone songs on it. I thought those two song were among the highlights of the album, so when I found the rest of the set, I had to try it out. As an extra bonus, it came with the studio album, "Stand!". Either one was worth the price for me because I never have listened to an entire album of Sly and The Family Stone before and am grateful I did! Better late than never I guess.

Sly's sister Rosie joined the band for a tour to promote the album, and their third album Life was released on July 1, 1968. That album received much critical acclaim, but didn't sell well, though many of the songs became staples for the band's live shows. In anticipation of the release of their fourth album, the single Everyday People was released in November 1968. Considering the hour, that was a miracle in itself. Sly and the Family Stone finally started their set at 3:30 . By this time in his career, Sly had become a real challenge to deal with, showing up late or not showing at all for live performances.
