This CD-production is the musical discovery of the year, a real treasury in which every listener will be convinced by Richter’s magical sound. An extraordinary travel through the piano repertoire with works by: Bach, Bartok, Beethoven,.

Richter in Hungary (1954-. has been added to your Basket. This 14 CD set includes 8 of Richter's Budapest concerts in their entirety and selections from his other live performances in Hungary, spanning from 1954 to 1993.

Sviatoslav Richter's concerts recorded by the Hungarian Radio. I think I can safely claim to speak for many Hungarian musicians, when I say that from our childhood on, for decades, Richter’s concerts were the greatest musical experience we had. We were fortunate that he was happy to play in Hungary. In addition to his indescribable personal aura, his unique physical and intellectual characteristics, the simplicity, thoughtfulness and honesty of his approach supplied us for years with the strength and the desire to study and make music

This is a brand new and exclusive set of 14 CDs which covers the work of Sviatoslav Richter from 1954 until 1993. I don’t know if it is possible to explain to anybody the extraordinary phenomenon his personality and playing created.
