The Long Lost consists of husband & wife Alfred (aka Daedelus) and Laura Darlington. In contrast to the avant-electronics and hip-hop aesthetics of Alfred's music as Daedelus, The Long Lost is a union of two songwriters & producers with a penchant for sad sounds and delicate, electro-acoustic melodies; psychedelic lullabies for lovers and the lovelorn
Lost in the fog, these hollow hills Blood running hot, night chills Without your love, I'll be So long and lost, are you missing me? Is it too late to come on home? Are all those bridges now old stone? Is it too late to come on home? Can the city forgive? I hear its sad song. I need the clouds to cover me Pulling them down, surround me Without your love I'll be So long and lost, are you missing me? Is it too late to come on home? Are all those bridges now old stone?
The moment that we met There was something so familiar I felt like I'd known you for a thousand years And there inside your eyes I saw a light that I'd been missing. Somewhere deep inside All of the lonely disappeared And, baby, now you're here I feel like I have found.
