The band released their debut album, Ripcordz Are Go(d), in 1988 on Og Records. The label did refuse to release one Ripcordz song, "The Santa Claus Slasher". After that label folded in 1990, Gott launched EnGuard Records, releasing the album A Right Is a Right that year In 1992, they released the albums There Ain't No 'H' in Ripcordz, Dork-Face and Kidnoise.
Canadian pop-punks the Ripcordz began playing together in 1980, but didn't get around to releasing an album until 1988's Ripcordz Are Go! Since then, guitarist/singer Paul Gott has been the only mainstay of the group, with a changing cast of bassists and drummers falling into the Ripcordz ranks. In 1992 they released two albums, Kidnoise and There Ain't No "H" in Ripcordz, Dork-Face, the latter of which revealed the band's love of unusually long album titles
