Not my favourite Jam & Spoon Album, still its a enjoyable one, this release sounds more like a compliation since each tracks differs alot from each other, and also the absence of instrumental musics. My favourite music is "Blue Moon tidal", also "Moment gone" and "Butterfly sign" these songs express a strong signature of Jam & Spoon with the beautiful vocals of Plavka, as far as i am concern most of the songs should have been played only with Plavka´s voice, afterall she is also Jam & Spoon, if we listen to their previous Albums her voice is always present. This release is very acessible since it sounds comercial, so its suitable for radio stations and to listen at home at the end of the day to decompress from the long day work. It´s a pity that Mark Spoon is no more among us, otherwise i´m sure we would have by now more amazing new albums by Jam & Spoon.

The CD kicks off with "Moment Gone" a Beautiful Love song with catchy hooks and the "Stella" synth lines beneath it, and it never lets up! Sung by Plavka, she has two more tracks, as she should, since she is a huge part of J&S. The 2nd track, "Cynical Heart" is sung by Simple Minds leader Jim Kerr, w/ a kickass Stella influenced synth line again, but it really works! "Mirror Lover", track 4 is great! Sung by the Cranberries Dolores O'Riordan, it is one of my favorite tracks on the disc with a sublime bass and drum track and catchy lyrics and groovy guitar with a stony 'electric guitar' synth line! All of the guest singers really lead a warm and inviting listening experience, especially Xavier Naidoo, Virginia Nascimento, Mark Gardener, Plavka, Jim Kerr and Dolores O'Riordan. Track after track is well produced and one can really feel the passion that went into the production and recording. This CD sounds fresh and new 5 years after it was released! It's a shame it was never released in the States, 'cause I bet it would've done well. You owe it to yourself to find this CD at whatever cost! I promise you won't regret it! I Love this CD! If you like J&S, you owe it to yourself to get this! Peace.

Typical Jam & Spoon fan probably won't be interested in listening to this album, since it's obviously a pop album. Some might consider this to be a good thing, because it would make this production exposed to a more wider audience, and not only to electronic music listeners or clubbers.Nonetheless, there are some recognizable elements of J&S production in here. There are many, really beautiful songs, for which one could not even imagine being produced by this duo after listening, for example, Tripomatic Fairytales 2001. Kaleidoscope, on the other hand, resembles more to this album, although the main difference is that in 3003 you can't find a single typical, hypnotic J&S track, which would make those pop tunes fit together nicely and make a coherent piece. In other words, there are just too many vocals. Although this is the idea album is based on, too many vocals make your listening a bit claustrophobic. Few instrumental, hypnotic & clubby J&S productions could have given this album some more space. If I should compare this album to another one, based on the same idea, and using similar production tricks, then it would be Paul Oakenfold's Bunkka. So, this way you know what you'll get. Either you like it, or not. What really stands out for me here is the opening song featuring Plavka's vocals - Moment Gone. Now, this is really beautiful, and it's a shame it hasn't been released as a single. At the end, I recommend listening to track Vata. Really a fantastic, laidback tune, and what makes it perfect is its last minute. This last minute of Vata is what I would say J&S is all about.
