Soprano Vocals – Joan Sutherland (tracks: 2-11 to 2-14), Montserrat Caballé. Tenor Vocals – Alexander Oliver (tracks: 1-4 to 1-6), Carlo Bergonzi (tracks: 1-7 to 1-9), José Carreras (tracks: 1-4 to 1-6, 2-1 to 2-3, 2-8 to 2-10), Luciano Pavarotti (tracks: 1-15 to 1-19, 2-4), Vincenzo Bello (tracks: 2-8 to 2-10).

Decca has thankfully shied away from the typical "best of" and/or "greatest hits" monikers and has focused instead on Caballé's marvelous instrument itself - probably necessary as all of these selections consist of excerpts from complete opera sets, rather than selections from recital-styled albums. These recordings were made from 1970 to 1984, an entirely comfortable period for Caballé's voice.

Exclusive Prime pricing. Vissi d' arte: The Magnificent Voice of Montserrat Caballé (2 CDs). I love this 2 disc set from Decca: The Magnificent Voice of Montserrat Caballe. It has a wide selection of arias from Mozart to Richard Strauss and most of them are not on the Rarities discs or the 4 CD set from EMI. There are only three repeats and one of these (M'ami, m'ami) has Jose Carreras as the tenor while the EMI set has Domingo, so it is actually different.
