Miles Davis Quintet (PRLP 185) is a 10 inch LP album by Miles Davis, released in 1954 by Prestige Records. The album title is not to be confused with either of Davis' later Great Quintets. The three tracks on this LP, and one other, were recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's Studio, Hackensack, New Jersey, on April 3, 1954. This was the first session for Prestige Davis recorded at Gelder's home studio, as he would all his remaining sessions for the label.
Listen to The Traveling Wilburys Collection on Apple Music and this site. One obfuscating legend claimed they were the only known surviving members of this once great tribe of wandering musicians, with an ancestry that goes back so far that their exact origins have become extremely difficult t. eparate from the legends and myths that have grown around them. The irony was that this was just one of many myths that surrounded the musicians who, individually, had been the subject of many a rock’n’roll rumour before they joined forces as The Traveling Wilburys. A magnet for creative talent, Harrison enlisted Jeff Lynne to produce his 1987 solo album, Cloud Nine. That same year, Dylan was touring with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers as his backing band, and it wouldn’t be long before Lynne was manning the boards for solo albums by Tom Petty (Full Moon Fever) and Roy Orbison (Mystery Girl).
Bill Johnson Quintet - Traveling Stranger. 5 years ago 5 years ago. R&B.
Some birds would gobble up fermented berries and drunkenly doze off. Hunting became as easy as scoop it and soup it. Soon one of the last places on Earth colonized by humans suffered one of the worst biological losses. The most astounding lost birds were moa. Some stood 13-foot tall and weighed 600 pounds. Moa once ruled New Zealand forestland. Oh, I see: When traveling the world of birds, tread lightly. Earth is a fragile nest and its balance is in our hands. Nurture their future.
