uDiscover presents a who’s who guide to all 57 of the famous icons on The Beatles’ groundbreaking album cover for Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. The concept was for the four Beatles themselves to appear in costume as Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, surrounded by a gathering of influential people as if they had just performed a concert. A total of 58 different people are depicted on the final artwork. Those chosen from a collective list drawn up by John, Paul, George, Peter Blake, Jann Haworth and London art dealer Robert Fraser. Jesus and Adolf Hitler were deemed unsuitable for inclusion, while other choices, such as Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Gorcey, were removed for different reasons. Also notable by his absence is Elvis Presley,.

So here are the best Queen songs Freddie Mercury didn't sing. For the Queen connoisseur, the 1977 album News Of The World is an unsung classic. It kicks off with two of the band’s most famous songs, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions, but the quality runs deep in tracks such as Spread Your Wings (a wonderful power ballad that flopped as a single), It’s Late (a heavy rocking throwback to the days of Queen II), Sheer Heart Attack (a. proto-thrash metal blowout, not completed in time for the album of the same name), and a beautiful, piano-led song by Brian May – All Dead, All Dead.

McCartney decided to record the album live in the studio, meaning that the band would rehearse an entire song then record it in one take, instead of recording each vocal track and instrumental track separately. This approach gave a new, raw and direct feel to the work, but was not overly liked by critics. The compositions also seemed less complex than on Flowers in the Dirt, with some of them having been out-takes from the earlier album
The band didn't change the Street Survivors title (which was problematic itself), but they did substitute a different photo of the band with a plain black background. Old-school censorship for the first solo album by the former Pink Floydster: If people are offended by the rear view of a blonde hitching a ride, naked except for red shoes and a red backpack, then just slap a black box over her butt.
