Operation: Mindcrime is the third studio album by the American progressive metal band Queensrÿche. Originally released on May 3, 1988, the album was reissued on May 6, 2003 with two bonus tracks, and again in 2006 as a deluxe box set. A concept album and a rock opera, its story follows Nikki, a recovering drug addict who becomes disillusioned with the corrupt society of his time and reluctantly becomes involved with a revolutionary group as an assassin of political leaders.

Queensrÿche : Operation: Mindcrime,álbum, crítica, lista de pistas, mp3, letras. Operation Mindcrime starts with a telephone ring, then proceeds to rock with a great classic jam. The lyrics are about the job offer for an assasination job to a dope addict. They entice him with the money and provide the gun. Musically, this is one of the better songs on this album. It's got a strong guitar lead, with catchy hooks, and the great vocals of Geoff Tate to tell this interesting story

The story picks up with the identity of the killer revealed and Nikki's obsession with revenge on Operation: Mindcrime II. Cool eh? Maybe, maybe not; it depends on your point of view. In any case the most startling thing about II is its sound: pure 1980s heavy metal

Operation: Mindcrime. Produced by Peter Collins. Album Operation: Mindcrime. Operation: Mindcrime Lyrics. Nikki: Hello? Dr. X: Mindcrime. Operation: Mindcrime We're an underground revolution Working overtime Operation: Mindcrime There's a job for you in the system boy, with nothing to sign. Hey Nikki, you know everything That there is to do Here's a gun, take it home Wait by the phone We'll send someone over To bring you what you need You're a one man death machine Make this city bleed

The band retained the cinematic intensity of the former, while telling a story involving conspiracy theorists, assassins, drugs, a corrupt priest and several clever plot twists. The album leant itself to a theatrical stage presentation and opened the doors for other bands to experiment with similar structures  . Operation: Mindcrime finally went platinum in 1991 after Queensrÿche performed the record front-to-back on tour to promote their 1990 album Empire. Eighteen years after the release of Operation: Mindcrime Queensrÿche put out the sequel Operation: Mindcrime II.

Operation: Mindcrime II (2006) by Queensrÿche. Labels: Rhino Records. Genres: Heavy Metal, Progressive Metal Members: Geoff Tate, Mike Stone, Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield.
